Do you offer consultations?
Yes, we do. Consultations are free, no obligation and are recommended for colour services, or if you’re planning a change. This allows us to discuss your hair goals, maintenance, timing, and pricing so there are no surprises on the day.
Where are you located?
Luxe is located in Matakana, just north of Auckland. We’re a luxury salon offering a relaxed, personalised, expert experience in a beautiful local setting.

At Luxe Matakana, we proudly use and retail Lust NZ Haircare, a New Zealand‑owned and operated salon‑grade haircare brand trusted by professionals across New Zealand. Lust believes that great haircare should be luxurious, clean, and ethically made without compromising performance. Their formulas combine high‑quality science with premium botanical ingredients to leave hair healthy, vibrant and manageable between salon visits.

How much will my appointment cost?
Pricing varies depending on your hair length, thickness, and the service required. Our menu gives a general guide, and we’re always transparent with pricing. For colour services, a consultation is the best way to get an accurate quote.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking in advance, especially for colour services and during busy periods. As a boutique salon, availability can fill up quickly.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Do you accept new clients?
Yes! We love welcoming new clients to Luxe. If you’re new and unsure where to start, feel free to get in touch and we’ll help guide you.
What should I do before my appointment?
Please arrive on time. If you have inspiration photos or questions, bring them along, we love working together to achieve the best result.
Do you offer retail products for purchase?
Yes, we stock professional haircare products, mainly Lust haircare, so you can maintain your colour and style at home between visits.
What are your hours?
We are closed Sundays & Mondays.
Saturdays & Fridays 10am - 5pm.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10am - 8pm.
Do you offer a discount for pensioners?
Yes, we discount haircuts for our golden club (see our Price List for more details).
Do we offer men's haircuts?
We currently only specialise in ladies hairdressing.
Do we offer children's haircuts?
18+ year olds only.
